A Man Without Leg is A Man With Strong Spirit

We had 3rd patient visit today. A below knee amputee caused by vascular disease and amputated back then in 2002. His current prosthesis is his third and had changed his RM7000 each prosthesis for every 3 years or so.

He came with shirt, and track suit, walking confidently as if he is the most handsome man in the world

=)

Is saying he is confident, and walking proudly although the truth is

he is an amputee

he lost his leg almost 8 years ago

he is using a fake leg

and HE IS HAPPY

Compared to the other 2 patients who had visited us previously, Mr Romzi apparently the most comfortable wearing his prosthesis. He even drive to his hometown in Kelantan (8 hours driving with MANUAL car and a prosthesis. This is beyond amazing)

Wani : How did you motivate yourself after the amputation?
Mr Romzi : First of all you have to ACCEPT THE TRUTH. Then, you have to encourage yourself. Do not shut the world down to yourself just because you do not have leg. Family and friend's support is important, but your own confidence is above all. Just like driving, if you do not have the courage, you will never drive by your own.

Total AWESOME.

This pak cik previously is a 'pemandu kereta kebal'. Cool eh?

Now, I see how my future job will bring different life to others.
