dilemma

I'm juz super duper absolutely bored. I never even stay at my college during weekends, and now I plan to spend my whole study week here? heavens =__=
eway, I finished 2 chapts of physio today, n gonna start my anatomy 2 chapts.o, n kabhi kushi kabhi gam too, good ol' bole chudiya~~.
tomorrow is a static day, n bit of calculus. jiayou~~
current fav: maybe by secondhand serenade.
2nd song that made me wish I cud pick on guitar.
Didn't you want to hear the sound of all the places we could go
Do you fear the expressions on the faces we don't know
It's a cold hard road when you wake up
and I don't think that
I Have the strength to let you go
Maybe it's just me,
Couldn't you believe
that everything I said and did, wasn't just deceiving
And the tear in your eye, and your calm hard face
makes me wish that I was never brought into this place
There goes my ring
It might as well have been shattered
and I'm here to sing about the things that mattered
about the things that made us feel alive for oh so long
about the things that kept you on my side when I was wrong
Maybe it's just me,
Couldn't you believe
that everything I said and did, wasn't just deceiving
And the tear in your eye, and your calm hard face
makes me wish that I was never brought into this place
And someday,
I promise I'll be gone
And someday, I might even sing this song
To you, I might even sing this song, to you
and I was crying alone tonight
and I was wasting all of my life
just thinking of you
So just come back we'll make it better
So Just come back I'll make it better than it ever was x2

We miss the 'dimam' kay...

So, today our original material science lecturer, mr abul kalam is back.haha, for the last 2 weeks, the foundation of material science class were taught by a sub lecturer, a professor from Indonesia.

y we miss mr kalam again?
ahah, mr kalam is a Pakistani. so, quiet understandably he has this thick (very) pakistani accent. on our first class, we barely understand what hes talking and only busy trying to listen what hes lecturing. now, after almost a semester with him, we got most of his accent and yeah the lectures went smoothly....I guess. LOL

after the raya break recently, mr kalam had extended his break that we got a temporary lecturer, mr andri from indonesia. well, he dun have any tongue rolling accent. but he got that I-dunno-which-part-of-the-world accent. haha.some of us guessed it was french's or OZ's or wherever. but the accent was too thick that we, again, busy trying to understand what hes talking about, and didn't have anytime to processed what hes talking bout.

think bout it..
we used to whine that we cant understand the pakistan-style english
when we got the spit-bursting style of english, we still cant understand

we sure do whine a lot.haha

Amputee Clinic Visit

Last Wednesday, 4 of the Malaysia's future first CPO (ahaha) paid a visit to Amputee Clinic at UMMC. cool ey? So, when we first arrived the clinic was packed with....expectedly, amputees. some of them came to consult the doctor regarding prosthesis, or follow up after getting their prosthesis, or ...the list could go on forever.

We met quiet a number of patients that day, Doctors in charge that day were Dr Chung, Dr Sheela, Dr Harith and Dr Aida. They are very 'welcomy' in having us there. haha. We met quiet few numbers of patients, but I only can recall some of them.

One of them was a 9 years old who has been wearing prosthesis leg since he's a little older than a year old. he got a congenital knee disarticulation. he came that day because his prosthesis is a little taller than it should be and when he's walking, he appeared 'bolting' or kekcoh. so, mr sadeeq, the pakistani CPO suggested to put insoles on his shoes, and not to cut or adjust the prosthesis so that when he grow up, the prosthesis will eventually suit his height. I asked his father how was his daily activities. evidently, wearing a prosthesis does enable him to live a normal life, biking, footballing...

then, theres an indian uncle who came to get a prosthesis. unfortunately, according to dr aida, his tump is not yet ready for a prosthesis. the muscle around the amputated bone appeared flabby some kind. so the leg wont fit into a prothesis. the solution, adviced by Cik Anida, the doctor suggested to the uncle to bandage the stump, and hopefully the stump would reshape into a better shape that will fit a prosthesis.

the last patient we met was a 20 years old akak who had trans humeral amputation, caused by an accident. it was on her right hand and the remaining are only like 6inches++. the CPO and doctors discussed what is the best prosthesis would suit her and considered a myoeletric one. then came the money concern. the doctor asked if shes covered by insurance, wht insurance and how much. the akak then asked approx cost for a hand prosthesis, the doctor answered, 1ook.haha, that much. we left her there in the middle of discussion because we gotta run back to engineering faculty for some boring talk.

what I can conclude from the visit, only now I realize how much my future career would bring difference to some people. what mama said about I'm goin to meet only amputees for the rest of my life is true. but the chance to make difference matter more. haha. I hope I will have this enthusiasm for the next 4 years until I finish my studies and start practicing as a CPO

wink!

This is my first post and I'm very content... =p

After the whole choir thing last night (thanks to Zaja n Lina *teary eyed*), I slept like a dead because the Mid Valley wore me down. Then,I woke up this morning with a bad nose, bad stomach and bad head wishing I can stay under the quilt all day long.

Then, the day obviously got brighter. I got excused from a program that I supposed to attend at 9 and only showed up at 10 (yet the program hasn't start) and spent half of my day reading Theo Buchanan and another half day under the quilt.
And farming, yes that too..too bad, when I farmed this morning all my blueberries plants had wilted. sob sob.And the internet was so slow that I didn't bother to plant after harvested all my tomatoes
There, I talked like a true farmer, didn't I?

Anyway, the day absolutely got even brighter
In the evening, kak wea came despatching a new carpet, a toto, 6 big apple doughnuts, a slice of secret recipe ,spaghetti and bolognaise, 3 eggs and some packet of chillie sauce, birthday treats from her and kakak .nice and delicious. haha
then mama called, wishing me a happy birthday.
and sapik called singing 'the' song.haha. never thought he would sing.
and zizie
and aman too

pretty much everybody texted/facebook msg/called to wish me a good birthday

note to myself-better start to mark others birthday, because I am a very forgetful person =p

thanx peeps ;)
who says bad start leads to bad day?
